Cash Matters reports[1] that Germans and Austrians are the most reluctant users of non-cash payments in Europe.
Almost one in two (48%) citizens of both countries say they still prefer using cash, with the level of card payment in Germany around half that seen in Sweden.
DACH consumers are also the least likely to opt for mobile transactions, citing concerns about online security for this reluctance – just 34% of Germans[2] are confident in shopping online.
A new blog from Netcetera explains how to cut fraud risk, smooth checkouts and drive higher online sales.
